In link if we set Link Specification as "True" then what
will be the expression given for link specification to
access parent bc field value in child bc

in parent bc we set linkspecification as true and in child
bc bc we use parnet field values as pre default or
postdefault values

It is not necessary to give the Link specification
property . i have tried without making link specification
as enabled,its working for me. if you enable teh link
soecification property also it will work.

If Link Spec Set to True , it uses parent type default value and gets the value for the child record.

For the calculated field scenario, its not compulsory to
set the link specification property as TRUE.without setting
this also it will work you can access the parent records in
child bc.
