Answer / kaushik
Density of LPG = 0.55gm/cc
now m = 1kg = 1000gm
now volume = 1000/.55=1818.18 cc = 1818.18/1000 Ltr
= 1.81ltr
therefore, 1kg of LPG = 1.81 Ltrs.

From the previous equation we now Know that 1kg of liqid
LPG has a volume 1.81 Ltrs. If 1cubic meter is 1000 ltrs
then we have 1.81/ 1000 = 0.00181 cubic meters of liquid
LPG. If LPG has an expansion rate from liquid to vapour @30
degrees c @ atmospheric pressure of 270, then 0.00181*270 =
0.4887 cubic meters @ 30 degrees c @ atmospheric pressure

ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL ENGINEERING - EXAMPLE 34.2 : (a) In the pricing of a coupon bond, the formula is : P = c / (1 + r) + (c + B) / [ (1 + r) (1 + r) ] for 2 years to maturity, where c = annual coupon payment (in dollars, not a percent), B = par value, P = purchase price. Five years ago someone bought a 20 year coupon bond and would like to get rid of it now : A coupon rate of 7 %, it matures in exactly 2 years, par value is $1000, current interest rate is 5 %. (i) Find the value of c. (ii) Find the value of r or interest rate. (iii) Find the value of P. (iv) Guess the formula for P when the maturity period is 3 years, if such formula for 1 year duration is P = (c + B) / (1 + r). (b) In lemma of Ito on a Forward, recall that a forward contract is priced at : ln F = ln S + rT. Find the value of F in 5 decimal points when S = $100, r = interest rate = 0.05 / year, T = duration = 1 year.
Question 56 - The kinetic behavior of an enzyme could be described using Michalis - Menten equation : Vo = Vmax [S] / (Km + [S]). Derive this equation from [ES] = [E]total [S] / (Km + [S]), Vmax = Kcat [E]total, Vo = Kcat [ES].
GENETIC ENGINEERING - EXAMPLE 27.1 : In Mendelian genetics, yellow (Y) is dominant to green (y) and round (R) is dominant to wrinkled (r). Question 109 - (a) Acceptable wavefunction in quantum mechanics in the range of : negative infinity < x < positive infinity, vanishes at least at one boundary. Which of the following is the wavefunction or are the wavefunctions of acceptable theory : P = x, P = | x |, P = sin x, P = exp (-x), P = exp (-| x |)? State the reason. (b) Let linear momentum operator P = -ih d / dz. The wavefunction is S = exp (-ikz) where i x i = -1, k and h are constants. Find the linear momentum of such wavefunction by using the term P x S.
