Answer / emran
All chillers are having condensors, where the condensing of
the refrigerent occurs, this condensing requires cooling in
order that the hot gas condensed, this cooling can be done
either by air or water, so when the condensor is cooled
with air by using fans the chiller is called air cooled and
when the condensor is called by water through cooling
towers the chiller is called water cooled.
In the case of the air cooled chillers u need to put them
in a very well ventillated open areas while in the water
cooled type u can put the compressor in any place and the
cooling tower need to be in open area( for ex. roof).
Water cooled are more expensive and larger capacities than
the air cooled.

Yes the above answer is right but for larger capacities
only water cooled will be economical whereas air cooled
requires a larger space and more power consumption.
