Expansion Tank is used in closed cooling Water System for different Purposes...

1> for Proper Heat Exchange.
2> Proper Venting of Dissolved gases after uses in different Coolers.
3> Minimum wasting of Water and utilize more and more.
4> to maintain Pressurized flow...

so these are main cause for using Expansion Tank in closed water cooling System......

Due to thermal variation the water volume is also
varierd .If the water volume increased due to the
temperature variation the water line affected.To prevent
such a catastrophic they provide expansion tank

generally this syatem apply in stator cooling water system,
after circulation of water inside the generator it goes Hot
then it go to expansion tank for better circulation, then
it goes to throurh pump,cooler, filter,ionization bed
better circulation of DM water.
