In my job I have 6 steps. Step01,02,03...step06. after executing step02 i want to skip step03 and want to execute step04. and once step04 is done then I want to go back and execute step03. once step03 is completed I want execute step05, 06 and so on... can any one tell me how do i do that???

For some reason I want to execute step17 only if the return code for all the previous steps are less than or equal to 4. otherwise if return code for any of the previous 16 steps is greater than 4, then step17 should be bypassed. I want to read from 4th to 9th record and want to write those 6 records (4th record to 9th record) to another PS file (output file). there is no key defined in the input file. I just want read a certain Consecutive records. can any one please give me the procedure division Coding for this.
