An analog signal contains may discrete approximate values
and so during conversion into digital it becomes problematic
as a digital value can only be expressed in the form of 2^n,
where n= a discrete no. Therefore, it becomes essential to
discard these approximate analog values into nearest whole
number. This task is performed by Quantizer. it merely
promotes the signal value to 1 step up if or 1 step down
from the original depending on the status of the signal
available.
Usage:
1.Digital modulation/demodulation ( eg. PCM )
