i was install Q.T.P.8.2 in windows xp version .when i
am running my programs all the desktop icons are disappear
why so. please guide me anybody how can i come out side
this problem.

HI Buddy,
Most probably the QTP that you installed is a corrupted one,
so my advice is to remove the QTP from your system and try
to get the installer which is virus free.

I had installed QTP 9.2. It is working fine but whenever I open QTP, it is trying to reinstall the below-mentioned files again and again "QTP92PS82UPGRADE.exe", "recogn.dll". i have an external excel datasheet where it only contains 3 rows. after qtp executed the code to import the datasheet, the datatable getrowcount method now gives me a different value, lets say 60,000+ instead of only 3. i did not have any values starting from row 4 of my excel file. why is this happening? this also results to the qtp report to load for a very long time.
