what is the method to measure the transformer current
carrieng capacity in three phase.
Answer Posted / deepakindi1
same as u do in for any 3 phase circuits
ie KW=sqrt(3)*V*I*cos(@)
WKT cos(@)=KW/KVA
SO KW/cos(@)=KVA
KVA=sqrt(3)*V*I
I=KVA/sqrt(3)*V
FOR EXAMPLE CONSIDER 11KV/440V 100KVA TRANSFORMER
AT PRIMARY
I=100/sqrt(3)*11
I=100/(1.732*11)
I=5.24A
AT SECONDARY I=100/sqrt(3)*.44
I=100/(1.732*.44)
I=131.24A
