why C.T secondary are rated 5A generally?

this is not a standard case the CT secondary shall be 5A.
moreover it depends upon the purpose,for protection
generallly will use 5A and for metering 1A. however while
selecting 5A the voltage drop will occur also didtance
between the metering and the protection relay.
