it depends on the protection circuitary ratings and the
accuracy u desire for the application. it must supply the
rated current to the relays with the accuracy u desire for
ur purpose,and also copper losses in the CTs should be
minimum so it also depends on the laminations and conductor
material u choose.

BUT AS WE INCREASE VOLTAGE FROM 450 TO 480V, LOAD BECOME 41 AND SPEED REDUCED TO SOME RPM . SO WHICH PHENOMENON ACTED HERE FOR REDUCING SPEED.?? AND IS IT HAPPENING ALWAYS OR IT IS RARE? I ALSO HAVE FACED SUCH PROBLEM WITH FEW LT MOTOR ALSO.
