why the 4 terminal are named as main, line, common, voltage
(M, L, C, v) of a wattmeter??
why not its nameed as A,B,C,D??

The three terminals are M, L, C, V
M stands for main load, L for connecting load, C for common, V is for voltage
There are two coils - current coil is between M and L, potential coil is between C and V
