How to calculate the no of bags required for 12mm thick 1:6
plastering?
Answer Posted / ashok yadav
Take 100 Sqm 12 mm thick plaster in Cement mortar 1:6 on Brick work
Volume of mortar = 100x0.012 = 1.20 Cum
Add 25% for dubbing and wastage= 0.30 Cum
Total (dry mortar) = 1.50 Cum
Add 30% dry to wet mortar = 0.45 Cum
Total (wet mortar) = 1.95 Cum
Cement = 1.95/7 = 0.279 Cum
= 0.279x28.8 =8.03 Bags
Sand = 0.279x6 = 1.67 Cum
