why neutral and body earthing of transformers kept
separated? what is distance between two is required as per
is?
Answer Posted / engr.shahbul
Body earthing is used for body leakage current to earth without
human body harmful.Neutral earthing is used for giving an earth path to
unbalanced current. It also balance the voltage in each
phase.suppose neutral is not working
properly, then in case of lightning on the body of
transformer then very large current will flow through body
earthing wire to neutral earthing wire.So it will be
dangerous for transformer.
so to avoid from destruction both body earthing & neutral
earthing are separately properly earthed.Minimum 3meter
