assuming you want to calculate for a 225 x 225mm column, you are to add the length of the column to the breadth (225+225=450), after that you will deduct the concrete cover which is (4*25=100),=450-100=350. after that you will multiply it by two (350*2=700), after that you will add the hook ( in this section people usually use 50,but to be on the safe side it is better to use 75), (2*75=150), the add it to the 700 that you got initially, (700+150=850). That is for the length of each stirrups.
