how to shutdown a Cisco router from command prompt?
Answer Posted / jitendra kumar patel
Hi,
The command to restart the router using command line interface is " reload" without quotes. However there is also a command as "restart" and there is a subtle differences between both. Reload basically does the cold reboot and yes one need to check the logs to conclude if previous shutdown was intentionally or due to power outage.
