why hybrid parameter are called as h parameter?

the H-Parameters are called as hybrid parameters because they have mixed dimensions (are not same like Z-parameters or Y-parameters)
i.e h11-omhs
h12-dimensionless(no unit)
h21-dimensionless(no unit)
h22-mho or siemens
