Blue is the brightest colour. The colour of sky is blue which spread throught the cloud. As we know that white colour passess through prism blue is one of them.Earth is only the planet which is covered by three fourth of water. And, Earth is also known as "BLUE PLANET" .
Also, we represent PINK for "girls", similarly BLUE colour for "boys".
