why the transformer was not rotating like a motor?
Answer Posted / n.a. abbu
Rotation or motion required only to cut magnetic lines nearby coils or windings. But in transformer case we are using A.C. supply to transfer power from one circuit to other circuit. We know in A.c both magnitude and direction changing by nature. Therefore no need of any motion or rotation to cut magnetic lines to induce e.m.f in nearby coils say secondary.
