which have higher efficiency transformer or induction moter
Answer Posted / phanikrishna.j
transformer has no moving parts .so the mechanical losses are absent .hence it has more efficiency than than the induction motor .and I M is an rotary device ,so basically mechanical losses will be with addition to core and copper losses .so its efficiency is than transformer . generally it is >70%for I M . and >95% for transformer
