What is the correct position of lapping splice of reinforcement steel bars in a beam at top & bottom of the beam?? what is the reason for this location?..what are the factors affecting lapping location in beam?

in Tensinon Zone reinforcement lapping ie.., Davalaping length ia between L/3 and in Compresion zone it will be in cnter of the span in simply suppoting beam and davaloping length should be 45-50 X dia of rod
