In beams:
In Top bars, lap should be comes under the portion of L/2 (Regular Zone) and not more than 50% of can be lapped a single point so lap should be alternate. And the min. distance b/w two alternate lap must be spaced by LD from the center to center of lap.
In bottom bars laps come under the portion of L/2. Where L is clear length of the beam.
