What is the correct position of lapping splice of reinforcement steel bars in a beam at top & bottom of the beam?? what is the reason for this location?..what are the factors affecting lapping location in beam?

In simply supported beam lapping is not permissible.
In continuous beam
Top bar can be lap at the center or l/3
Bottom bar can be lap at l/3
This loction is as per bending moment

I have certain queries, please help to solve. a) length of pile bore is 4m.excavation quantity will be area * length where area will be pi/4 * dia*dia.
