Define CT & its function

Answer Posted / maddy

CT is current transformer. In an electrical system, you may have very large currents flowing. A CT allows to lower the current to small amps so that measuring equipment such as ammeters can measure the current. It is lowered by a ratio so the ammeter shows the correct amps accordingly.
