The star point of an electrical machine is earth to make the neutral point and ground
potential is called neutral earthing.
This is done so that a number of measurement and protective system
can be suitably connected with the power system.
The equipment earthing is done to protect operating personal to protect them for electrical shok.
In some cases equipment earthing also protect the environment from earthing. .......
