the pic micro controller have internal oscillator but why
we use external oscillator

internal oscillator uses resistor and capacitor which may be affected by temperature so that it could not provide stable frequency also its limited to 8mhz. where as external oscillator(crystal) are stable and not limited to 8mhz .
