of
buffer?
Answer Posted / t reddy
selecting volume of buffer depends upon the sink condition of the drug...
example: if ur drug maximum doasge is 500mg means.. take 3times of these dosage that is 1500mg... dissolve it 500ml buffer, there should not be any formation of precipitation in buffer... if there is any prcptn means increase the buffer volume until the drug getting completely dissolved... that will be the final volume for ur dissolution studies.
there is also another way 1st know the maximum solubility of dosage
example:if 500mg(consider this as 100%) in 900ml of buffer is the maximum solubility of the drug... then your doasge should not be more than 350mg(70%) in 900ml of buffer. u can use any dosage form less than 350mg for 900ml of buffer
