Data which is not there in datawarehouse and such data to be shown on the report as per the requirement.
for ex: Month attribute has jan,feb,mar......Dec.
But you want a consolidated elements we need to create an attribute in such a way without changing the metadata and warehouse defination.
This we achieve with consolidation.
so we group the attribute elements called derived elements.
summer=mar+apr+may
The consolidated attribute to be created to display values in a report.
Here in such case we use consolidation.
