We use ACB in LT and VCB in HT.But if we use VCB in LT and
ACB in HT that what will be the effect on the system or any
power range?
Answer Posted / karna
HT Line Means 6.6KV,11KV and 33KV. LT Line means 415V. So
the ACB are Manufacutered for LT side because , based on
shortcircuit KA busbar terminal are designed in ACB . In HT
line while switching On & OFF ARC will be more it will not
withstand in ACB . IF we use VCB in LT side , the VCB will
not helpfull at fault condition, because its upstream
breaker will trip or component will damage
