Can we operate a DG Set in paralell with Transformer ?
Answer Posted / meka sekhar
theoretically DG can be operated parallelly with
transformer as long as voltage, frequqncy, phase angle are
within limits. However, in industrial practice, only
momentarily paralleling will be done between DG &
transformer. Sometimes if they want to check loading of DG,
it can be paralled with transformer so that it will not
affect loads which are connected to bus.
