isolators are operated at off load condition ... firstly
circuit breaker breaks the circuit .....
if isolated is operated at on load then flash or sparking
takes place due heavy voltages which shows hazardous effects...
so is use to minimize the sparking effect.... we can say
thay it is a slow switch and cb is the fast one ;-)
