1. 3 & 5 point calibration
When calibrating the field instruments or device under test only 3 process reading compared with master instrument for 5 point calibration you should do comparison for 5 process values with master instrument
2. If we use hart communicator to set the LRV & URV of a
smart transmitter, did we calibrate the transmitter? why?
This is not calibration of transmitter we can say this is configuring BASIC parameters to the TX.

By using sypon and 1/2 " nipple you can mount the pressure gauge on steam line if the line is vertical you should have 45 deg angle to the process line to reduce the pressure drop across the instrument.

used when we configure a PLC?

Calculate the maximum pressure drop that can be allowed to occur across a control valve, so that we can prevent cavitation / flashing from occurring. Use the following formula: Δ P allow = Km (P1 – PvapourA) where, Δ P allow - the maximum allowable differential pressure for sizing purposes, or terminal pressure drop; Km- the valve recovery coefficient from the manufacturer’s catalogue; P1 - absolute inlet fluid pressure; PvapourA - absolute fluid vapour pressure at the inlet temperature; Use Atmospheric pressure = 101.3 kPa, P1 = 1200 kPa(g), PvapourA = 4 kPa, KM = 0.72
