In solaris:

Assume we created lun in the storage.
1. connect storage to the solaris server.
2. check if the Lun is getting detected using command
#format.
- if not detedted - run # devfsadm -Cv
- check again if the lun is getting detected.
3. If Detected.
4. newfs the new lun
# newfs /dev/rdsk/(luns logical name)
5. make a mount point #mkdir /mountpoint
6. mount the lun
#mount /dev/dsk/(luns logical name) /mountpoint
