Only a Double excited Electrical machine can act as a
Generator. Please note eg. you cannot generate power from a
squirel cage induction motor as it does not have a dual
power source, it can only operate as a motor as the rotor
is short ckted. In all other cases where the stator
(winding) and rotors(armature) are powered seperately, only
then energy can be converted from mechanical to electrical
(generator) or electrical to mechanical (Motor)

During Testing of Maintenance Free Earthing, How deep should be the Spikes of Earth Test Meter should be inserted in the soil(one spike is 15 Meter & Other spike is 30 Mtrs away from the Main Earth Electrode. Because, recently, we observed that when spike is inserted 3-4 Inch in the earth- results are better, If spike is inserted 1 feet deep than results are increasing.
