Account Assignment feature is infotype 1008. This is used
to specify the cost centre related defaults for various org
objects like org units, positions etc. The defaults
specified are company code, business area, Personnel area
and personnel subarea.
Cost centres are units that add up to the costs incurred in
an organization.
Advantages :
1) Set budgets limits for cost centres
2) Used for planning
Cost distribution is the distribution of the costs to the
various cost centres
Infotype 27 is used for employees
