why we are using in ph calibrations ph4,7,9.2 buuffers only?
Answer Posted / amar
pH range is 0-14 where as 7 is the neutral. So, In Acidic range below 7 and Basic range above 7 range we can do the calibration. For Acidic condition 0-7, 4 is the moderate pH. Where as in Basic Condition 7-14, 9.2 is the moderate pH. So, for these conditions we are performing 4,7 and 9.2 buffers for calibration. For pH Calibration we can extend calibration 1.65,4.01,7.00,9.25 and 12.45 for getting more accuracy in pH.
