What is the difference between QA and QC?

QA:1) the main aim is to prevent defects with focus on the
process used to make the product,there fore it is a
proactive quality process.
2)the goal of QA is to improve development and test process
so that defects do not arise when the product is being
developed.
QC: 1)Qc aims to identify defects in the finished
product,therefore qc is a reactive.
2)The goal of QC is to identify defects after a product is
developed and before it's released.
