It depends upon the power factor,
As 1HP =746 W =0.746 KW
and
apparent power (KVA)= Active power (W) / P.F
if P.F is 0.8 then,
KVA=0.746 / 0.8 = 0.9325
if P.F is 0.9 then,
KVA=0.746 / 0.9 = 0.8288

Dear friends, i would like to know that what is the exact function of 'exciter winding' & 'aux winding' in Alternator?
A 230V dc shunt wound motor has an armature resistance of 0,15Ω.When operating on no load at 650 rev/min the armature current is 6A . The motor takes a full load current of 85A. Calculate the full load speed if the field flux is (i) maintained constant (ii)reduced by 0,03
