What will happen 50 HZ motor when you will give 60 HZ?
Answer Posted / pradyumna chandra panda
Ans- There is a mechanical speed (s) in every motor,
designed by Manufacture Company according to
construction of motor that should be not less than
synchronous speed.
If we give 60 Hz supply to a motor (which rating is 50 Hz)
there will increase (20%) the synchronous speed then rotor
of that motor tends to rotate at higher rate , no any
trouble will occur be, but there should be support the
mechanical speed (s) and load.
