How to check vortex flow meter is in good condition while
we do not having calibration setup?
Answer Posted / amit
U can do the cold test by checking the sensor. It has piezo
sensors in symetrical manner. U can check both piezo
sensor by checking the capacitance. If capacitance is
accordance with size means sensor is OK. same way u can
check temp and pressure sensor(by checking the resistance)
if it has. This way u can check the healthiness of the
sensor. If u want to check the response of sensor, u can
give little vibration to the sensor by hammering on it and
check the response on transmitter. U cannot directly check
the calibration for flow on field itself.
