How many type of SAP Logs and where do they reside?

There are two types of SAP log.
1. Local Logs: Each sap system has a local log that receive
all the messages from the server. The system log records
these messages in a circular file on the server.
2. Central Logs: Central log is configure and maintain all
the message send by local log meesage.
