What is the difference between Incident and Defect.
Anybody can answer it. Thanks in advance.

To differentiate between this two definition you should
make difference between term incident and defect because,
they appear same according to sentence formation wise but
if you read the definition of term incident and defect you
will be able to make out the difference.
Incident – Any event occurring that requires investigation
Problem = Defect – A flaw in a component or system that can
cause the component or system to fail to perform its
required function.
incident management / problem management is nothing
but "The process of recognizing, investigating, taking
action & disposing of incidents/problem."
I hope this will clear your doubt.
