how 1.52 factor comes while calculating no of bags of
cement...from 1:2:4 design mix?

Answer Posted / a.jagadesh

For 100cum of finished concrete =152cum dry volume of
conc. Hence for 1cum the factor will be 1.52

Ratio = 1:2:4 For 1m3

= total ingredients = 7

= For cement 1/7x1.52 = 0.217 m3
= For sand 2/7x1.52 = 0.434 m3
= For 20 mm 4/7x1.52 = 0.868 m3
----------
= 1.519 m3 = 1.52 m3
----------
