Explain the Term in CT Name Plate – Class: 5P10
Answer Posted / faheem
according to my study the there are two type of accuracy
class 5p & 10p 5p=+-1 % error,and 10p=+-3% error.and last 10
shows the accuracy limit factor 5,10,15,20 and 30.. It means
this protection CT can capable of
measuring current of 10 times more than its rated during fault
condition with error of +-1% and without getting saturated.
