how to calculate short circuit calculation of the transformer
by usuing the percentage impedence?
formula needed.
Answer Posted / elangovan kp
Isc (Shot circuit Current ) = Full load current of Tranformer / Impedance(%)
Ex: for 1000 KVA, 11/0.415 KV Transformer , Percentage Impedance - 6% :
Full load current of LV side of Transformer = 1000 * 1000 / ( 415 * 1.732)
= (1391 / 6) * 100
= 23187 Amps.
