how can change 12mmdia@150c/c bar spacing to 16mmdia
Answer Posted / mustafa mohd layeak
Consider 1m strip of slab.
Using 12mm dia bar with a spacing of 150mm,we get
Area of steel=754sqmm/m length.
So if using 16mm dia bar we get a new spacing
s=[(1000*201)/754].therefore new spacing
s=266 mmc/c. therefore use 16mm dia bar@250mmc/c.
But check [M/V + L']>dev length at support.
