It's better to say (whats the working principle of level measurement?)
For level measurement we have the following techniques:
1 - differential pressure types (usual differntial presure instrument & bubbler tube).
2 - Sight types (displacer & sight glass).
3 - Sonic type.
4 - Capacitive type.
5 - Radiation type (RADAR & radio active material instrument).
Each type has a specific working principle.
