Portfolio is the combination of utilities such as Shares, Bonds, Debentures, Etc.
For Example, if a person needs to invest Rs. 1 lakh and he invests Rs. 10,000 in RTL, Rs. 10,000 in Hindalco, Rs. 10,000 in Grasim and so on and so forth. His basket of investment is a portfolio of the said shares. Portfolio is mainly to diversify the risk.
