1) In generator voltage increased as well as increase the
winding insulation thickness.
2) so generator stator core size will be large.
3) In generator size also large.
4) Increase the cost of generator.
5) to transport the generator some problem will come.

In case of HV test on medium voltage cables, BS is asking for 4 U0 where as IEC is asking for 3.5 U0. Can any one advise me how this 3.5 times or 4 times U0 is derived?
