In an LT pole, the line voltage is 415V. How is it
converted to 230V into the house via the service cable?
Answer Posted / kaushal
From distrubation transformer we get three phases and one
netural (due to Star connection) these four wire(three
phases and one netural)are layed over head on LT poles and
for house only one phase along with netural is used and no
convertor is used as phase to netural voltage is 230volt
between R -y- b phase voltages are 415 - 415-415 called
as line value where as between phase and neutral it will
be 415/1.732 = 239 approximately 230v called as phase value
