Father is aged three times more than his son Ronit. After 8
years, he would be two and a half times of Ronit's age.
After further 8 years, how many times would he be of Ronit's
age?

A.2 times
B.2 1/2times
C.2 3/4times
D.3 times

Answer Posted / anand

Ronit's age is X.
His father's age is 3x.

After 8 years

5/2(x+8)=(3x+8)
5(x+8)=2(3x+8)
5x+40=6x+16
x=24

Ronit's age after 16 years is X+8+8=40
His father's age is 3x+8+8=88
he would be 2+1/5 time of ronit's age.
I dont know whether it is right or wrong. But when i
multiply ronit age(after 16yrs) with 2+1/5 is equql to his
father's age(after 16 yrs).

Everyone said that father is aged 3 time more than his son
ronit, so that only you all take 4x instead of 3x, why cant
you take it as 5x , it is also more than 3 na.
